Access object version and differential information directly via Rev-Trac’s integration into Salt, SAP Change Intelligence Software
Through the seamless integration between Rev-Trac and Salt (SAP change intelligence technology also developed by Revelation Software Concepts), Rev-Trac users can access visibility into custom ABAP code version history and detail for better decision making.
The integration allows users to drill down quickly into custom code and examine object versions in Salt, or drill out directly to change request details to see the context in Rev-Trac.
This helps users resolve object conflicts quickly and accurately by understanding the exact nature of the object changes in question.
For example, if Rev-Trac issues an OOPS (Overtake and Overwrite Protection System) error report, the team can compare object versions via Salt and quickly determine the potential impact. The Salt Matrix application will show context around object versions, while clicking on the Rev-Trac request details will reveal how and where the sequence errors occurred, eliminating manual code comparisons.
There is no setup or configuration required to implement the integration. All that is required are Salt version 1.8 and Rev-Trac version 5.0 DEV Core component 09 (Released 2006) onwards, including the current Rev-Trac 6.
