David Drake

Founder of Rev-Trac and xReports
Australia-based David Drake formed Revelation Software Concepts (RSC) in 1997 as a privately funded company. His express purpose was to develop and support RSC's flagship product, the Rev-Trac change management solution for SAP solution-based business intelligence systems. Now in version 5.0, Rev-Trac has consistently reflected Drake's original vision of a highly automated change management solution for SAP solution-based enterprise information systems of any size.
Prior to founding RSC, Mr. Drake honed his own programming knowledge and leadership skills as a programming team leader. During this time he acquired great skill with SAP ABAP/4, the SAP programming language. He worked with SAP applications of all types since 1987 and developed a deep understanding of SAP-based System Change Control requirements. He also studied market needs as they related to SAP change management software tools. He realized that, as dependence grew on SAP-based solutions to keep information flowing and accessible, the need for a tightly integrated change management add-on would grow rapidly.
In the decades prior to founding RSC and developing Rev-Trac, Mr. Drake contracted his professional consultancy services to Brightstar as Senior Technical Consultant, where he worked at many SAP customer sites including Toyota Motor Corporation as an SAP Basis Consultant for SAP R/2 Systems and for SAP Australia as Senior Consultant covering Basis, ABAP and Training. He served as SAP ABAP Programming Team Leader for the Nexus Project at KPMG and the "Argyle" Project at Orica. He served as Senior Basis Consultant at Mars SSI and Senior Analyst-Programmer, ABAP Team Leader at African Explosives and Chemical Industries (using SAP since 1981) while he completed his education with a focus on SAP-related computer sciences.
Mr. Drake is well-versed in all areas of SAP R/3, earlier SAP-based information systems and, in addition to ABAP/4, is adept at a variety of programming languages on multiple operating systems. Indeed Drake takes a very active role in the ongoing design of Rev-Trac, particularly in the areas of process control, distributed system architecture and inter-system communication.
